Speechlanguage pathologists prevent assess diagnose and provide counselling and rehabilitation for speech language voice fluency and swallowing disorders.
Job Description
Provide lifechanging treatment support and care for children and adults who have difficulties with communication eating drinking and swallowing. Youll help people who for physical or psychological reasons have problems speaking and communicating.
Patients may be able to perform other activities but need speech therapy. Part of your responsibilities may be to educate staff on the value of speech therapy
License or Certification:
Must be in possession of current SLPA certificate on or before the first day of employment.
CPR certification TB skin test Auto Insurance and Driver License
Education Training and Experience:
Minimum requirement: Associate degree in and/or graduation from a SpeechLanguage Pathology assistant certificate program.
Experience is preferred but not required.
