One of our prestigious clients is looking to hire a Specialist HVAC Design I to be based in Ras Al Khair Saudi Arabia In the Maritime industry who will be responsible for but not limited to:

Job Overview

The Specialist HVAC Design I plays a crucial role in the design and development of Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) systems within the organization. This individual will work closely with the engineering team to conceptualize plan and execute HVAC projects ensuring compliance with industry standards and client requirements.

Key Responsibilites

  • Execute Engineering activities (Concept Front End Engineering Development Technical Study Detail Design).
  • Perform calculations applying HVAC engineering principles techniques procedures and criteria for rig designs.
  • Assist in development and maintenance of test procedures to ensure component and system performance.
  • Preparation of design deliverables with due consideration for applicable Codes & Standards.
  • Prepare specification technical evaluation Supplier documentation review and expediting with Supplier.
  • Interface with other departments to reflect the asondate input from other Departments as applicable.
  • Maintain the required technical quality of work.
  • Identify scope and schedule changes in accordance with the Change Control Process.
  • Ensure that designs comply with the relevant codes standards regulations and procedures.
  • Attending Factory Inspection Test & reports.
  • Progress monitoring and adherence to scheduled completion of engineering documents.
  • Capture all changes / modifications in the deliverables that have been intimated by project prior to release of deliverable.
  • Ensure appropriate checking & review of all documents / drawings before release at any revision status.
  • Attending project review meetings.
  • Coordination with the other Engineering disciplines Customer and Supplier.
  • Ensure Supplier documentation received on time.
  • Control of Quality of engineering documents regarding Quality assurance basis.
  • Ensure compliance with HSE policies and procedures as applicable.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable information security policies & procedures.


Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • At least 39 years experience in engineering design department of any offshore rig building or ship building industry.
  • Sound knowledge of international codes & standards Maritime regulations and class rules.
  • Demonstrated ability to apply HVAC principles in the development and specification of HVAC systems and components.
  • Working knowledge of HVAC equipment fan curves coil psychometrics pressure drop heat transfer and ducted systems.
  • Exposure to AutoCAD and 3D design tools like AVEVA.
  • Knowledge/Experience in heat load calculation software like HAP or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated high order interpersonal skills and the ability to operate within a multinational environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and motivate others with regards to continuous improvement.
  • Good presentation skills.
