Special Education Teacher

Clarifi Staffing Solutions is currently seeking fulltime Special Education Teachers to work with schoolaged students in the elementary school setting.

During theschool year the Special Education Teacher will be responsible for effectively collaborating with the student s academic support team to develop Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for each student on the caseload. The Special Education Teacher will also monitor student goals and prepare quarterly progress reports.

Responsibilities:

• Providing students with instructional materials that address individualized learning plans within established lesson plans.
  
• Administering developmental testing programs subjectspecific assessments etc. to assess student competency levels and develop individual learning plans.
  
• Advising parents and/or legal guardians of student progress communicating expectations achievements and developing methods for improvement or reinforcing classroom goals in the home environment.
  
• Assessing student progress towards objectives expectations and/or goals.
  
• Collaborating with instructional staff other school personnel parents and community resources to improve overall student outcomes.
  
• Demonstrating methods required to perform classroom and/or subjectspecific assignments to provide an effective program addressing individual student requirements.

• Bachelor s degree or higher from an accredited institution.
  
• Teaching certification in the state of Illinois endorsed in special education (LBS1).
