Transportation Project Manager Job Description

Primary Work Location Franklin Lakes NJ
Hybrid Work model (3 days / week office)
Duration: April 2024 to March 2025
Hourly Rate: $125

Position Overview
The Transportation Project Manager will be responsible to enable Integrated Transportation Management Planning and Carrier Collaboration Platform for managing Domestic and International Freightin/out across SAP and JDE North America systems. The Project Manager will need to build effective relationships with stakeholders such as Business Partners Project Owner Business Analyst Vendors and Endusers regarding project requirements. Project Manager must be versed in adherence to BD s project methodology and regulatory compliance followed for all systems implementations. The experienced Project Manager will drive the successful implementation and work across multiple streams within the Integrated Supply Chain user community.

Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will bring a combination of strategic understanding change management experience & exceptional communication & analytical skills together.
Liaison with stakeholders such as Product Owner Business Analyst Product Manager Vendors and Endusers regarding project requirements.
Manages project milestones to ensure adherence to budget schedule quality and scope of project.
Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation according to the BD s project management life cycle guidelines.
Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track the progress of the project including scope critical success factors deliverables work breakdown structure project schedule budget quality resource plan stakeholder management and communications.
Manage scope change requests and coordinate with the Project Owner for further action.
Coordinate with business stakeholders and vendors for the seamless execution of projects.
Measure project performance using appropriate project management tools.
Perform risk management analysis to reduce project risks.
Report and escalate risks to the management as needed.
Prepare project status reports in coordination with the other PMO members.

Core Competencies Skills and Knowledge

Program Management Concepts
Has technical and practical knowledge of the core Program Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK ) concepts and principles (e.g. agile work breakdown structure waterfall planning)
Demonstrated experience in driving projects from initiation through closure.
Skilled in establishing detailed scope schedule resources and budget using standard project tools (MS Project/SharePoint/etc.)
Experienced establishing Stakeholder management plans Risk/issue management plans Vendor management plans and Quality plans.
Experienced establishing and following controls to manage scope change and reporting project schedule/budget performance.
Experience managing Transportation projects in an ERP environment with a structured SDLC release cycle with integration to external TMS/WMS applications.
Proactive in surfacing risks and issues. Ability to engage project team and stakeholder community to resolve issues and define risk mitigations.

Excellent time management skills. Able to work on multiple concurrent activities and prioritize personal workload and teamwork load to optimize project delivery.
Ability to lead effective meetings/workshops. Creating meeting objectives agendas and timely distribution of meeting minutes.
Ability to manage meeting discussions to achieve meeting objectives and timeline.

Qualifications

Must haves
5 7 years of project management work experience using PMBOK guidelines.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools including Excel PowerPoint Teams Outlook Project SharePoint.

Preferred
BS in business administration or project management with 6 years working in a global manufacturing company in FDA regulated environment.
ACP SCRUM Certification PMP PgMP Prince II or equivalent.
Experience working with Transportation within the Integrated Supply Chain functional area involving ERP systems with associated release schedules.

Primary Work Location
Franklin Lakes NJ USA Hybrid Work model (3 days / week)
Project will require approx. 20 % US domestic travel if based in Franklin Lakes.
