Solar Design Engineer

Location: Manchester (hybrid)

Responsibilities:

• Creating detailed electrical designs for Solar PV systems spanning from feasibility assessments to project handover.
• Handling submissions of Distribution Network Operator (DNO) applications addressing design inquiries and furnishing compliant design resolutions.
• Collaborating within a multidisciplinary team of technical designers project managers and project communicators to propose costeffective and meticulous technical designs aligned with client requirements.
• Leading design meetings to define project briefs and requirements in coordination with electrical operational and project managers.
• Offering internal support for Solar PVrelated queries and providing guidance to junior designers. Staying abreast of relevant technologies to advise the company on optimal technology selections.
• Assisting in the design of mechanical systems and equipment to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 23 years experience in Solar PV projects encompassing domestic or commercial applications.
• Demonstrated proficiency in utilising CAD software for generating technical designs.

Previous exposure to Solar PV batteries and parts list management is advantageous
