Are you ready to join a winning team NEXGEN is looking for a Sales Associate with 13 years of experience who is ready to build an exciting career in software sales in Sacramento CA. This position will focus growing our sales in the municipalities utilities and facility asset management markets. Applicant must be an enthusiastic and highly organized individual who is confident and strategically minded. Our ideal candidate is a problem solver who is outgoing relational and skilled at closing deals.

The Sales Associate will oversee the sales process at all stages of the sales pipeline for a cuttingedge asset management software solution (Enterprise Asset Management/Computerized Maintenance Management System) for high profile clients across the U.S. and Canada.

This role will be responsible for managing a list of leads and opportunities and nurturing prospects to move them along the sales cycle. The Sales Associates role will revolve around the ability to network and build relationships with clients by researching potential users cold calling leads scheduling product demos following up with hot leads and representing NEXGEN at conferences across the country.

The Sales Associate is part of the Business Development team. This is full time position based out of our Sacramento CA office. This is not a remote position.

JOB DUTIES:

Sales:

  • Manage/update/follow up with leads in CRM (Zoho CRM)
  • Research and evaluate current and upcoming RFPs (request for proposals). Help in the proposal creation process including attending preproposal webinars and submitting questions to determine if NEXGEN should submit a proposal.
  • Make sales calls to new and existing clients
  • Nurture opportunities along the sales pipeline to move towards eventual closure
  • Become an expert in government procurement processes and strategically influence purchasing decisions
  • Attend industry conferences (35 / year)
  • Assist in pre/post conference marketing efforts
  • Prepare agendas content and demos for interviews
  • Work with account management team to develop sales strategies for existing clients and track potential deals from existing clients
  • Generate new leads
  • Develop and conduct effective demos for potential clients
  • Assist in development of sales proposals
  • Work closely with project delivery team during new client handover
  • Perform quality checks on product and service delivery
  • Build and maintain strong longlasting client relationships

Business Strategy:

  • Develop strategies to grow business within current core competencies
  • Identify and evaluate new spaces for potential business growth and develop effective sales strategies
  • Establish and drive challenging yet realistic goals for sales
  • Use discernment to decide go/no go for competitive bids
  • Identify and nurture strategic partnerships to drive growth
  • Work with IT to determine technical possibilities and map new areas of product develop to align with business goals
  • Speak with industry experts to gain understanding of market needs


SALES ASSOCIATE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelors degree required
  • 13 years previous sales experience preferred bonus points if you have software sales experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Proactive personality driven to connect on a personal level with customers while identifying expansion opportunities
  • Ability to identify customer needs and match them with available products and services

  • Understanding of customer centric selling and sales process is a plus

Compensation

$65000/yr $75000/yr plus depending on qualifications and experiences.

Annual bonuses based on performances.
