Overview:

We are seeking a talented Software Engineer to join our team onsite at the client facility in Johnston IA. The role involves modernizing a series of mainframe solutions with a focus on design technical leadership and adherence to project roadmap. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Javascript Typescript Node.js and AWS services along with a strong background in Agile development methodologies.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the modernization efforts of mainframe solutions ensuring alignment with project roadmap and technical requirements.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to the team addressing technical roadblocks and challenges.
• Implement TestDriven Development (TDD) practices and promote pair programming within the team.
• Utilize Typescript for both implementation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) initiatives.
• Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to ensure successful delivery of projects.

Requirements:

MustHaves:

• 7 years of experience in Javascript especially Typescript.
• 5 years of experience with AWS services and cloud development.
• 4 years of experience working in an Agile Environment.
• 2 years of experience with Node.js.
• Proven experience mentoring junior software engineers.
• Proficiency in Test Driven Development across multiple platforms.
• Familiarity with Paired Programming.
• Bachelors degree in an ITrelated field such as Computer Science Computer Information or Software Engineering.
