Software Developer

Govfirst is seeking a talented Software Developer to join our clients team in Herndon VA.

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and developing new system capabilities and enhancements for an application in the customers cloud computing environment. This role requires expertise in UI design and development as well as proficiency in Agile software development methodologies.

• Design and develop system enhancements and new capabilities for the latest version of the application.
  
• Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to gather requirements define technical specifications and implement solutions.
  
• Ensure the scalability performance and reliability of the software applications.
  
• Conduct code reviews identify areas for improvement and implement best practices.
  
• Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends to improve development processes continuously and methodologies.
  
  
  

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience with expertlevel focus on UI design and development in a cloud environment.
  
• Proven experience with Software Development in an Agile development environment.
  
• Proficiency in JavaScript CSS and HTML.
  
• Development experience with Angular and AngularJS frameworks.
  
• Familiarity with OpenLayers FullCalendar and Datatables.
  
• Experience with NgBootstrap framework is preferred.
  
• Strong problemsolving skills and attention to detail.
  
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  

Required Skills: Bachelor s or Master s degree. Minimum of eleven (11) years of related experience. Experience with ServiceNow and automated provisioning mechanisms. Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Power-CLI, JavaScript, Python, Perl Scripts, and Bash Shell scripting. Deep understanding of cloud technologies and experience with AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, IBM Cloud, and Oracle Cloud. Experience with Linux, system automation, and web-based UI development. Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills: Knowledge of automation tools such as Ansible, Chef, Puppet, Terraform, etc. Experience with IT system automation, AI/ML, and Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE). Knowledge of SecDevOps, cloud design, Infrastructure as Code, and Agile development principles.
