Role Description
This is a fulltime remote role for a Social Worker at Youth Empowerment Foundation. The Social Worker will be responsible for providing counselling and support to youth in the community assessing their needs and developing individualized care plans. They will collaborate with other professionals in the field to ensure that the youth receive the best possible care. In addition to their counselling duties the Social Worker will also participate in community outreach and advocacy initiatives.
Qualifications
- Counselling and Therapy skills including active listening empathy and compassion
- Assessment and Case Management skills including the ability to develop individualized care plans
- Knowledge of child and adolescent development mental health and substance abuse issues
- Experience working with diverse communities and the ability to empathize with youth in difficult situations
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships with youth families and other professionals in the field
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team to provide comprehensive support to youth
- Flexibility and adaptability to respond to the changing needs of youth and the community
- A degree in Social Work or a related field and a license to practice Social Work in the state
- Additional languages spoken a plus
