WebBeds is the world s fastest growing provider of accommodation distribution services to the travel industry. Our products incorporate distribution APIs, payment integrations, ERP integration, Data Lakes, User Interfaces, and others. Our search API reach peaks of more than 50.000 requests per second, each one consisting of tens or hundreds of hotels, with continued expansion. With this in mind, we strive to be at the leading edge of technology when it comes to build the platform that meets the needs of our Supply partners and customers. This translates to the use of latest technology including .NET Core versions, Golang, Python, AWS, K8S, microservices architecture, clouds hosting and orchestration, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, Proactive monitoring, and alerting systems, to name a few.

How you will make an impact?
We are seeking an experienced and talented Site Reliability Engineer to join the WebBeds Engineering Team. As a Site Reliability Engineer, you will empower our users with a rich feature set, high availability & performance level to achieve their goals.

We are seeking someone with a real passion for travel, a passion for technology combined with great communication skills, technological insight & an eagerness to grow. We are looking for people that are not afraid to try new things and develop new technologies for an ever-changing scenario.

Elements to this role include, but not limited to:

Work with legacy applications and have an appetite to help transform it into modern technology.
Run the production environment by monitoring availability and system health
Build software and systems to manage platform infrastructure and applications
Improve reliability, quality, and time-to-market our software solutions
Measure and optimize system performance, pushing our capabilities forward, getting ahead of customer needs, and constantly innovating to improve
Provide primary operational support and engineering for multiple software applications
Gather and analyze metrics from both operating systems and applications to assist in performance tuning and fault finding
Partner with development teams to improve services through rigorous testing and release procedures. Working closely with developers, especially when issues arise to help with troubleshooting and provide consultation & prevention.
Participate in system design consulting, platform management, and capacity planning
Create sustainable systems and services through automation and uplifts
Balance feature development speed and reliability with well-defined service level objectives
Monitor critical applications and services to minimize downtime and ensure their availability.
Cross team collaboration across the full IT department & wider business as required to align on systems support & processes.

The skills we would love to see in your suitcase!

Ideally around 3 years of experience in a Site Reliability Engineer capacity
Code experience in one of the following languages Go, C, C++, Rust, Python (other languages will be considered based on experience)
A proactive approach to spotting problems, areas for improvement, and performance bottlenecks
An eagerness to learn, develop & constantly improve with a flexible mindset & approach to technology
Core interest in the Travel industry, with a passion for technology and expertise in this area although Travel industry experience is not necessity
Knowledge around cloud infrastructure in Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud or Azure
Experienced using the Linux operative system
Experienced using containers (Docker, containerd), Kubernetes and popular tools within the ecosystem like ArgoCD with proficiency in networking gateways, NAT, routing tables, firewalls etc.
Bachelor s degree in computer science or other highly technical, scientific discipline (Nice to have but not essential)
