Description:
The buyer is responsible for planning the procurement execution from cleaning supplies and food to equipment raw materials packaging and contracting services inherent to the operations of the administrative and production areas researching developing and negotiating with new and current suppliers.
Essential Responsibilities:
Utilize MRP tools to forecast and anticipate supply needs supporting the demand plan
Create and maintain all yearly blanket PO’s
Convert requisitions into purchase orders and send them to applicants and/or suppliers.
Monitor and update raw material prices and specifications
Approve/process all the MOCs for new raw materials and gather all required documentation
Research and support the development of suppliers for all the demands at the business unit
Support Strategic Sourcing Manager to negotiate contracts
Release purchase orders for production material floor stock items and all purchases to support the business unit
Assist and support new product development projects
Register new suppliers under the vendor approval process
Negotiate and equalize materials and services.
Reduce acquisition costs while maintaining quality standards
Directly assist in the development and Import/Export of any materials and services that Elementis Global needs.
Ensure the service and delivery of materials and services purchased to the CERs within the stipulated deadlines.
Generate reports and audit monthly and semiannual inventories entering data and analyzing discrepancies. Cycle counts
Perform other tasks compatible with the requirements for the exercise of the function.

Control of purchasing processes
Proficient user of computer equipment. This includes MS windows MS 365 applications prints ERP software.
