Job Description:

The primary role of the Helper is to perform precision smoothing polishing or grinding of all component parts and products. Reads prints for required specifications and dimensions. Sets up and operates standard manufacturing equipment. Deburr buff or grind materials to specifications. Ensures grinding wheels are dressed according to specifications so that all machines remain at peak performance. Ensures that safety devices are operative. Completes housekeeping duties in assigned area daily. Completes assigned work within given time frame and according to specifications. Performs other job responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements:

Must have a high school diploma or equivalent along with a solid understanding of manufacturing tools and their appropriate usage. A strong mechanical aptitude is essential as is the ability and willingness to follow directions. Candidates should be comfortable working both independently and as part of a team with strong verbal communication skills. Physical requirements include the ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform tasks such as sitting standing walking climbing stairs and reaching. The work environment may involve high noise areas working at heights confined spaces congested work sites shift work duration rotations and a shop setting.
