SFCC Backend

Overview:

Key Responsibilities:

• Designing developing and maintaining SFCC backend components such as data models OCAPI and business logic
• Integrating SFCC with external systems APIs and thirdparty services
• Writing clean efficient and scalable code in JavaScript and Node.js
• Collaborating with frontend developers UX/UI designers and crossfunctional teams to deliver highquality ecommerce solutions
• Participating in code reviews and actively contributing to technical discussions
• Identifying and troubleshooting issues debugging and resolving backendrelated problems
• Optimizing and enhancing the performance of SFCC backend systems
• Implementing best practices and developing custom functionalities as per business requirements
• Staying updated with the latest SFCC features tools and industry trends
• Contributing to the continuous improvement of development processes and methodologies
• Documenting technical specifications system designs and processes
• Supporting testing deployment and maintenance activities
• Providing technical guidance and mentoring junior team members
• Adhering to security and compliance standards in backend development

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field
• Proven experience as a backend developer with specialization in Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC)
• Strong proficiency in OCAPI (Open Commerce API) and integrating SFCC with external systems
• Proficiency in serverside JavaScript Node.js and working with APIs
• Experience in designing and implementing scalable and maintainable backend solutions
• Ability to debug and troubleshoot complex backend issues effectively
• Capability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate technical concepts clearly
• Solid understanding of ecommerce principles architectures and best practices
• Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies
• Experience in performance optimization and enhancing backend system reliability
• Excellent problemsolving skills and a proactive approach to addressing technical challenges
• Capability to adapt to evolving technologies and learn new tools and frameworks
• Strong documentation and organizational skills with attention to detail
• Familiarity with version control systems and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines
• Understanding of security protocols data protection and compliance standards in ecommerce
