Overview

The ServiceNow ITAM role is a critical position within our organization responsible for overseeing the management and optimization of IT assets through the effective utilization of ServiceNows IT Asset Management (ITAM) module. As a key member of the IT team the ServiceNow ITAM professional will play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient utilization protection and maintenance of the organizations IT assets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Designing and implementing ServiceNow ITAM module to manage hardware software and cloud assets.
  • Developing and maintaining ITAM policies processes and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to understand asset management requirements and provide solutions using ServiceNow ITAM.
  • Performing regular audits to ensure accuracy and completeness of IT asset data within ServiceNow.
  • Managing the lifecycle of IT assets including procurement deployment maintenance and retirement.
  • Integrating ITAM with IT service management configuration management and finance processes.
  • Providing guidance to end users and IT teams on ITAM best practices and processes.
  • Generating reports and dashboards to visualize IT asset data and trends.
  • Participating in ServiceNow ITAM module upgrades and enhancements.
  • Training and mentoring IT staff on ServiceNow ITAM processes and procedures.
  • Identifying opportunities for automation and optimization within ITAM processes using ServiceNow functionalities.
  • Resolving ITAMrelated issues and incidents in a timely manner.
  • Adhering to ITIL best practices for ITAM implementation and management.
  • Ensuring data security and confidentiality of IT asset information within ServiceNow.
  • Collaborating with vendors and external partners to optimize IT asset lifecycle management.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Information Technology Computer Science or related field.
  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) certification.
  • 3 years of experience in ServiceNow ITAM implementation and management.
  • Strong understanding of IT asset lifecycle management principles and best practices.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to IT asset management.
  • Experience in configuring ServiceNow ITAM module including workflows and data policies.
  • Proficiency in ITIL framework and its application in ITAM processes.
  • Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills in the context of IT asset management.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
  • Experience in leading ITAM process improvement initiatives.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize and multitask effectively.
  • Familiarity with IT procurement vendor management and contract negotiations.
  • Certifications in IT asset management (e.g. IAITAM Certified Software Asset Manager) are a plus.
  • Experience in integrating ServiceNow ITAM with other ITSM and ITOM modules is desirable.
  • Understanding of cloud asset management and its integration with ServiceNow ITAM is preferred.
