The Service Manager is responsible for coordinating and overseeing the activities of the Service Technician Department. A successful Service Manager will provide world class quality leadership and customer satisfaction (internal and external) while improving the department s service levels and profitability
Responsibilities and Duties (includes but not limited to):
Manage and direct all technicians (12) for As Needed Service and Planned Maintenance
Communicate with Planned Maintenance Department regarding the Planned Maintenance schedule and ensure all PMs are completed on time and with high quality
Order parts as needed and follow up to ensure timely delivery
Work with the Operations Manager to ensure budget is met for Service activity and Costs
Identify & execute on process improvements to grow the Service business to meet annual targets
Monitor dispatching to ensure the best customer service and most efficient use of technicians
Manage the worktruck fleet service requirements
Report and document any unsafe conditions or accidents
Maintain credibility and confidence of customers
Resolve customer complaints in a timely and professional manner
Communicate with customers and salespeople on the status of work
Promote teamwork training and continuous improvement
Other duties as assigned
High school diploma or equivalent required
Minimum 5 years of experience in the industrial service management field required
Strong computer skills including ERP systems and Excel
Mechanical aptitude preferred
Exceptional leadership and listening skills
Strong administrative and organization skills
Strong communication skills (both written and verbal)
Must be able to make quick informed decisions in a high paced environment
Must be comfortable working with internal and external customers
Must follow up appropriately with customers and pay attention to details
