Senior VMware System Engineer

As Senior VMware System Engineer you are responsible for the operation and engineering of on premise ESXi infrastructure (including HW servers and storage) and provide efficient and stable operations.

Tasks

• Responsible for the operation maintenance and expansion of ESXi systems as well as their basic infrastructure (storage hardware)
• Ensure proper life cycle management of the managed services
• Participate in the conception and implementation of projects as well as further development and optimization of the existing infrastructure
• Providing second level support within the existing support organization and responsibilities
• Support of the oncall organization as a member

Requirements

• University degree in Computer Science or equivalent education
• 5 years of practical experience in the field of ESXi administration in large enterprises
• Basic knowledge in the area of Linux (RHEL) is required
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Handson mentality
• Fluency in English German is a plus
