Our client a national packaging manufacturer has an opportunity for a skilled TOOLMAKER to join their Tool Room Team based in Diep River. This role is an ideal fit for an energetic natural selfstarter with a strong sense of urgency who takes pride in maintaining a positive work ethic and excellent attention to detail.


TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Preventative maintenance on moulds reporting on the mould condition and replacement parts.
  • Repairing of moulds fitting replacement parts/spares.
  • Repair / Servicing Hot Runner System replacing damaged / faulty electrical parts.
  • Stripping and repairing plastic injection systems.
  • Complete all production readiness checks water leak test and testing heaters and TC s.
  • Ensure moulds are operating optimally all slide ways and moving parts are greased.
  • Minimize mould downtime ensuring moulds are repaired/serviced efficiently.
  • Daily completion of administrative duties.
  • Adhere 100% to the maintenance schedule.
  • Able to read drawings and follow work instructions
  • Practice high standards of housekeeping and safety.


Requirements



  • Completed Tool Jig and Die maker Trade Test
  • Expert in plastics toolmaking Plastic Mould maintenance and repairs.
  • At least 58 years experience with 3 years plus experience in repair techniques
  • Be a hardworking dedicated individual who understands the importance of attention to detail
  • Be willing to work overtime when required.
  • Be willing to go the extra mile and follow all guidance and instructions
  • Be wellpresented positive enthusiastic and driven to succeed.
  • Be reliable and a meticulous timekeeper with a passion for quality.
  • Logical systematic approach to duties.
