Senior Technical Consultant Alation Data Management Cloud Solutions

A Senior Technical Consultant is the most experienced member of the Alation Professional Services team who possesses extensive experience in data management software deployment and a passion for making customers successful. They lead installation and configuration and creatively overcome a wide variety of advanced technical challenges. This is a newly created role to support the hypergrowth of the APAC region.

What youll be doing:

• Participate in account knowledge transfer sessions with Alation presales
• Lead the customer through onpremise and cloudbased product installation procedures
• Lead the customer through single signon authentication configuration to LDAP or ActiveConfigure outofbox database file system and Business Intelligence tool connectors
• Create custom database file system and BI tool connectors/feeds using scripts and the Alation REST API
• Populate the loading of metadata from databases file systems and BI tools
• Provide input on new features to Product Management
• Document lessons learned tips/tricks and contribute knowledge base articles
• Participate in customer community forums

You should have:

• Minimum 5 years of consulting experience in a lead role
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skill to resolve technical challenges
• Professional customerfacing communications and clientmanagement skills
• Experience administering Linux operating systems
• Experience with Azure AWS and GCP cloud deployments
• Experience with multiple databases and excellent SQL skills
• Experience with single signon authentication configuration with LDAP and Active Directory
• Experience with Kubernetes and Docker deployments
• Python or Java experience using REST APIs
• Experience with Hadoop distributions (Cloudera Hortonworks MapR) and with AWS or Azure
• Experience with Alation or other metadata tools
• Experience with Business Intelligence tools
• Experience delivering services as part of a software company
