Position/Title: Sr. Systems and Network Engineer

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Supervising firmware upgrades for servers and network equipment.
• Crafting technical architectural designs.
• Managing Windows and Linux servers.
• Providing support for network management.
• Vigilantly monitoring systems for intrusions issues and outages to ensure uninterrupted operation.
• Maintaining an updated network diagram.
• Optimizing system performance through monitoring and adjustments.
• Planning and executing network switch configuration backups and recovery.
• Conducting network cable wiring terminations.
• Liaising with vendors for technical support.
• Deploying and maintaining PCs.
• Enrolling users and upholding system and network security.
• Fulfilling additional assigned duties.

General Job Responsibilities and Duties:

• Effective technical communication with staff.
• Communicating technical concepts to nontechnical colleagues.
• Proficient in both oral and written communication.
• Ability to understand computing systems from technical and user perspectives.
• Performing system administration tasks.
• Capability to train Jr. Network and System engineers.

Other Requirements:

• Proficiency in system administration with Active Directory experience.
• Skill in troubleshooting and resolving system issues.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in team settings.
• Knowledgeable in MS Windows Server Linux Servers and Virtualization.
• Familiarity with VOIP and Call Center technology.
• Competence in computer hardware and software troubleshooting.
• Understanding of Cisco Network configurations and Network Firewall configurations.
• Knowledge of network and systems security.
• Over 4 years of progressive experience in Systems and network administration.

Education & Certification:

• Bachelors degree or equivalent in Computer Science Information Technology Computer Information Systems or related field.
• Preferred certifications include Microsoft Certified with optional Red Hat (RHCE RHCSS) and preferred Cisco (CCNA CCNP).
