Role: Senior Software Engineering Manager
Duration: Fulltime
Location: West US Remote or Onsite
Were partnering with a leading technology company specializing in security solutions. They seek a handson Software Engineering Manager to lead a team focused on building cuttingedge software products.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Team Leadership: Guide mentor and develop a team of skilled software engineers fostering a collaborative work environment.
- Technical Oversight: Provide technical direction and contribute to handson problemsolving ensuring adherence to coding standards and best practices.
- CrossFunctional Collaboration: Work closely with product management and other teams to define technical solutions that align with business goals.
- Quality Assurance: Champion robust quality processes and testing methodologies to deliver reliable and scalable software.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay abreast of industry trends and explore emerging technologies to drive innovation.
- Stakeholder Communication: Communicate project progress and technical concepts effectively to various stakeholders.

Requirements
SKILLS
- Leadership & Mentorship: Proven ability to motivate and develop highperforming teams.
- Technical Expertise: Strong software development fundamentals and handson proficiency in relevant programming languages.
- Database Knowledge: Experience with both relational and NoSQL/nonrelational databases.
- Agile Mindset: Comfortable working within Agile or similar iterative development frameworks.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication for working with teams and stakeholders.
TECH STACK/CONCEPTS
- Core Languages: Java Go C (or other languages the client typically uses).
- Database: MySQL MariaDB Cassandra (or similar based on the clients needs)
- Development Tools: Git JIRA IDEs (aligned with client environment)
- Bonus: If applicable familiarity with security concepts cryptography APIs or PKI infrastructure.
CANDIDATE BACKGROUND
- Education: Bachelor s degree in Computer Science Software Engineering or a related field.
- Experience: 15 years of combined software development and team management experience.
Skills: Expertise in Python development Experience with shell scripting Solid understanding of Kafka and its core components Ability to develop, implement, and optimize data pipelines within a Kafka environment Familiarity with data ingestion, transformation, and processing techniques Tech Stack, Concepts and Certifications Python Engineering Shell scripting Kafka Candidate Details 5+ years of relevant experience Seniority Level - Mid-Senior Management Experience Required - No Minimum Education - Bachelor's Degree Willingness to Travel - Occasionally
