Teamworx is hiring for one of Ireland s top flagship retail stores nationwide. Our client who is a large retail group with several stores across the southeast region is looking to hire an experienced Senior Deli Manager for their Carlow site.

If you are an experienced supermarket or shop Deli Manager Cafe or Catering Manager who would relish the opportunity of managing a flagship modern high convenience retail store that is regularly winning national retail awards this is a very exciting opportunity to come in and manage a large food site with almost 20 staff members within your department.

This is a huge food operation that requires not only a Deli Manager capable of producing and ordering stock but someone with experience managing big teams a confident professional and demonstrates strong leadership qualities in your work.

Managing costs and budgets and working with the General Manager to look at ways of increasing sales improving marketing innovating through NPD and adapting to policy changes along with motivating 20 members of staff will be a huge part of this job.

Our client is looking to speak with candidates with a proven track record managing people skilled foodies and strong organisational skills.
This particular retail group is highly ambitious and has a great standing in the retail sector they are constantly expanding the business innovating investing in stores and upskilling their management teams and have a great track record for winning retail awards.

• Proven management experience organising and supervising the work of others.
  
• Fresh food knowledge.

• A strong understanding of food safety and HACCP knowledge.
  
  

Responsibilities for this Retail Deli Manager Job:

• Oversee the running of the fresh food department with up to 15 staff in your department
  
• Rostering planning making lunch schedules and ensuring deadlines are met
  
• Responsible for a highly skilled team planning out their workload directing work and ensuring tasks are completed correctly.
  
• Inventory and stock management keeping back stock to appropriate levels
  
• Working closely with the General Manager and stakeholders in the group to get the best performance out of the department increasing sales productivity margins waste management and controlling shrink.
  
• Taking full responsibility for proper management of hygiene and HACCP records and all other relatable paperwork for the department
  
• Maintaining high standards across the business
  
• Performance management of your team ensuring your team is reaching maximum efficiency in their work training and coaching staff play an active role in recruitment and onboarding people to your department.
