Job Description

Our client is an award winning international consultancy providing cradletograve procurement cost contract commercial project and programme management services for blue chip national and international contracting organisations. Our purpose is to ensure that our clients are commercially successful whilst delivering large scale and complex construction infrastructure and energy projects.

This will be a Hybrid role working 2 weeks onsite at the isle of Skye and 2 weeks remotely

Key Responsibilities
  • Work as part of client s project team contributing to procurement and commercial aspects of their major infrastructure projects
  • Manage and advise on development of procurement strategy
  • Prepare and evaluate tenders including PQQs tender documentation normalisation of tender returns and writing tender evaluation reports
  • Develop contractual documents and negotiate contract terms and conditions in liaison with client s legal team
  • Participate in internal or external meetings as required/delegated
  • Develop reports and presentations as required/delegated
  • Perform additional duties as assigned


Requirements

Preferred Qualifications/ Relevant Experience

  • Experience of negotiating contract terms and conditions particularly in relation to NEC and FIDIC suites of contract
  • Knowledge of procurement and tender evaluation (either as a client or main contractor will be considered)
  • Major projects background would be an advantage
  • RICS/ICES/CIPS chartership highly desirable but not essential
  • Working knowledge of regulated procurement environment would be beneficial
  • Strong relationshipbuilding and vendor management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organisation and attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritise and work autonomously while managing client expectations in a calm polite and professional manner
  • Organized and detailed oriented
