Job Description:

Our client, a leading eye health Programme provider, is seeking a skilled Senior Quality Assurance Engineer to join their team. They are a social enterprise that powers eye health Programme providers to strengthen systems and service delivery with a software and data intelligence platform. With their software Eye health providers can identify gaps and inequalities in their services. People who would have been invisible to health workers or hard to reach are made visible, so that nobody is left behind. As a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest quality software for our client's impactful global eye health programmes. Leveraging your expertise in testing methodologies and automation, you will drive the testing process and contribute to the overall success of our projects. We are looking for someone with a deep understanding of software QA, proficiency in manual and automated testing, and a passion for delivering high-quality software that has a positive impact on eye health programs worldwide.

Responsibilities:

  • Acquire and maintain deep knowledge of our software.
  • Collaborate and contribute with our Product team to elaborate new feature requirements and provide suggestions in line with the business vision and mission.
  • Work closely with our DevOps team to preview changes and feedback high quality fault reports.
  • Plan, prepare and execute testing (manual and automated) according to defined scope, test strategy, and test approach.
  • Identify, plan and script automated testing that supports product development and delivery efforts.
  • Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
  • Facilitate and actively participate in Agile processes and ceremonies, including Sprint planning and Retrospectives, to ensure effective collaboration and continuous improvement within the team.

Requirements:

  • At least 5 years of experience as a QA Engineer, Test Automation Engineer, Software Tester, QA Analyst, Software Engineer in Test, QA Automation Engineer and/or Quality Assurance Assistant
  • Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies and best practices
  • Proficiency in test planning, preparation, execution, and bug reporting
  • Experience with both manual and automated testing using Cypress/Playwright frameworks in JavaScript or Typescript
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, such as Product and DevOps
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Excellent problem - solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and practices
  • Experience in reviewing and providing constructive feedback on code quality
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure, while managing multiple tasks and priorities
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to a remote work environment with minimal supervision
  • Understanding of CI/CD principles and practices
  • Experience with performance testing, API testing
