Senior Project engineer Oil Gas

Our senior Project engineer:

• Is capable of maintaining good working relationships and ensures cooperation between all parties involved champions change and overcome resistance.

Tasks

• Implement deploy and act as role model in regards to companys Project Management Framework (PMF) in a fitforpurpose approach across the individual projects in the Project Portfolio.
• Work closely with the Planning Engineer and Cost Engineer for preparing integrated schedules and cost estimates for those projects in the Project Portfolio.
• Engage daily with the Project Team and other Teams in the Experimental Installations Department and from the Technology Platforms of ETCA to realize the teams goals and department goals.
• Be the focal point between the end users from the Technology Platforms and the Project Team for the realization of R&D units from initial conceptual design to full commissioning and startup.
• Identify and communicate Value of Work Done (VOWD) and critical path and propose mitigation plan(s) for those projects that require so.
• Conduct risk management workshops maintain risk register and track mitigation plans.
• Based on progress of projects and scope changes to the base line plan update and make necessary corrections/revisions and report out accordingly to stakeholders.
• Contribute to regular updates of Project Management guidelines procedures Standard Operating Procedures and Ways of Working within the Experimental Installations Department and ETCA.
• Work actively to develop and implement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives. Own and coordinate lessons learned processes.
• Act as Scrum Master and coordinate the work of the Project Team in line with Agile Ways of Working.

Requirements

• At least Bachelor degree or equivalent in an Engineering Discipline or Project Engineering
• Approximately 10 years of experience in Oil & Gas and New Energies sectors preferably in multiple locations.
• Advocates a strong HSSE culture and performance in the Energy Transition Campus Amsterdam and has demonstrated ability to provide safety leadership during all project phases.
• Demonstrate a strong personal commitment to Diversity Equity and Inclusion (DE&I) through collaboration across functional and cultural boundaries.
• Utilize available benchmarking databases information and lessons learned from past projects and portfolios to prepare plans and schedules for new projects
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interface with staff from diverse academic and cultural backgrounds at all levels of the organization.
• Written and spoken English is mandatory fluent in Dutch is of great value.

Nice to have:

• Accreditation as SPA Level 1 (or similar with external bodies) are considered an advantage
• Skills related to aggregating data from different repositories analyzing such data and projecting trends and overviews that can help influencing strategic thinking
• Understanding risk management and capable of producing probabilistic risk assessments for specific projects
