Job Title: Sr. Product Designer ("UX designer," "experience designer" or "interaction designer")
Job Location: Austin, TX
Job Duration: Full Time/Permanent
Job Type: Hybrid (2 Days/Week is Work from the office)
Essential Functions
- Collaborate with multifunctional teams to lead research, planning, and design of holistic digital product and service experiences from idea conception through execution.
- Work with SkillsEngine's leadership team to identify and develop new product experiences and opportunities for delivering value through design innovation.
- Help create and maintain a cohesive design system across SkillsEngine's growing ecosystem of existing and new products.
- Oversee and mentor more junior designers in day-to-day design work.
- Act as champion and advocate for all stakeholders who use and are impacted by SkillsEngine's products and services.
- Be a go-to thought leader for your fellow product designers, the broader SkillEngine team, and our strategic partners and stakeholders.
Education/Experience/Knowledge/Skills
- 5+ years of professional experience as a product designer (or related roles, such as "UX designer," "experience designer" or "interaction designer").
- Highly developed design skills demonstrated in a portfolio of recent work.
- Proficiency with modern design and prototyping tools and methods.
- Confident communication, presentation, and storytelling abilities.
- Ability to mentor and guide more junior designers.
- Affinity with SkillsEnigine's values and a passion for solving complex human problems with intuitive and innovative product experiences.
- Business level ability in English.
