Senior Planner

We are currently recruiting for a Senior Planner to work on our clients sites across the UK. As the Senior Planner, you will run the production and development of programmes for projects across the Group whilst ensuring regular update and development of programmes that are live in order to meet client requirements as well as ensuring contractual compliance while managing project time risk for input to associated costs and claims process.

Other duties will include:

Develop an in-depth knowledge of our contracts at both tender and in delivery stages to ensure you understand the correct programming requirements for NEC and JCT contracts to produce tender and contract programmes evidence lost time, risks, opportunity and impact of changes to programme

Produce required inputs that are suitable for your client s requirements the quality programmes are to be shared with the clients in line with their standards

Handling multiple contracts

JGL programming software requirements (P6, Project or ASTA) ABL

Lead on planning and programming

Weekly reviews with the senior team members for updates or new requirements.

Ensure delays, compensation events, claims information, changes to requirements etc are all captured and live programmes are to remain fully up to date

Tracking CE s and Variations on live projects for Claims and variations

Providing KPI s and Variance reports to the clients

Identifying programme risks and advising on mitigation strategy

Building of a Programme library for future works and tenders

Reporting of Tender vs. Final contract programme for pre-construction strategy

Tracking time against live projects and tender programmes in detail for internal cost estimates. Completion of weekly timesheets and timely submission for accurate project costing.

Support ad-hoc requests, as directed by the Head of HR or Resourcing Business Partner.

Requirements

To be successful in this position the Senior Planner must have:

Minimum of four years of professional planning experience

Full UK driver s license

Building & managing a resourced programme starting from planning the first principles as well as WBS from drawings /tender documents.

Carry strong knowledge or experience as to how jobs are built or how contracts are run across different stages in a project.

Awareness of sequencing of tasks to enable them to build programmes for their contract in consultation with Bid / Project Manager.

Be able to identify "wastes" within the Cementation programme
