Senior Payroll Specialist Workday Functional Expert

This is a remote position located within the United States preferably in the Eastern or Central Time Zone.

As a Workday Functional Expert Senior Payroll Specialist youll manage payroll operations for our US and Canadian operations while serving as a subject matter expert (SME) in Workday functionality within the payroll department.

This role bridges the gap between IT/Technology support and payroll operations offering exciting opportunities for career growth within our organization.

What Youll Be Doing:

• Ensure accurate and timely processing of hourly and salaried payrolls across multiple entities and pay cycles.
  
• Drive process optimization in Workday to eliminate manual operations and enhance efficiency.
  
• Act as a key player in largescale strategic projects impacting payroll operations.
  
• Conduct proactive audits to ensure data accuracy and compliance with SOX regulations.
  
• Collaborate with IT/Technology teams to troubleshoot Workday software issues.
  
• Handle confidential information securely and assist with yearend tax processing.
  
• Stay updated on federal and state regulations for payroll in the US and Canada.
  

Requirements

• Bachelor s degree in business administration accounting or management information systems preferred.
  
• 3 years of experience with Workday HCM.
  
• 1 year supporting Workday Payroll.
  
• Strong technical aptitude and ability to grasp a general knowledge of multiple disciplines and technologies.
  
• Strong analytical and interpersonal skills.
  
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  

• 5 years of experience in payroll operations.
  
• Strong knowledge of Workday HR processes and policies including Benefits Compensation and Reporting.
  
• Experience with Kronos and ADP is a plus.
