Senior Microbiology Analyst Water Microbiology

In October 2023 a multimillion pound investment was announced by our parent company allowing us to build a brand new water microbiology testing lab in the heart of Leicester City Centre.

Since the initial announcement work has been ongoing to ensure the the new lab facility will be market leading and house the most up to date equipment and instruments to allow for our internal clients to utilise inhouse testing services.

We are now seeking to employ an exceptional candidate who wishes toexpand their career by joining Construction Testing Solutions at a very exciting time within our growth plans.

Primary Role

Initially the successful candidate will besupporting the Microbiology Lab Manager to set up the new water microbiology laboratory as well ascompleting method validations prior to submitting he validation data to UKAS.

Once the laboratory has obtained UKAS accreditation the role will then transform into one of production and toundertake the daytoday preparation analysis and testing activities of the Laboratory

Another core responsibility will be assisting with the training and development of newstaff members as the department grows throughout 2024 and beyond.

Qualifications & Experience

The holder of the position of Senior Microbiology Analyst should preferably hold a relevant degree level qualification or ALevel Maths / Sciences.

The successful candidate will possess strong technical knowledge and working experience of BS EN ISO 11731:2017 and BS EN ISO 8199:2018 test methods.

Specific laboratory training will be conducted in house to offer the required working knowledge of the CTS Quality Systems and develop a sound scientific understanding and overview of the full CTS Testing Services.
