Role Purpose

A Mechanical Design Engineer with 9 or more years of experience is responsible for driving the design and development of complex mechanical systems and components. The role requires an individual who has a deep understanding of mechanical engineering principles and can apply this knowledge to realworld design problems. The engineer will lead crossfunctional teams and be involved in all aspects of the design process from concept development to product launch.

Baseline Responsibilities

• Drive the design and development of mechanical systems and components to meet customer requirements.
• Use CAD software to create detailed drawings and specifications.
• Conduct feasibility studies trade studies and prototyping activities.
• Analyze and evaluate designs for strength durability cost and performance.
• Lead crossfunctional teams such as manufacturing quality control and suppliers.
• Support production testing and validation of prototypes and final products.
• Continuously improve design processes and methodologies.
• Stay current with industry standards and regulations.
• Mentor and train junior engineers.
• Represent the company in customer and industry meetings.
• Provide technical leadership and direction to the design engineering team.

Technical Competencies

Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
9 or more years of experience in mechanical design engineering.
Deep knowledge of mechanical engineering principles and mechanical design.
Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD SolidWorks NX CATIA or ProE.
Experience with finite element analysis (FEA) and computational fluid dynamics (CFD).
Excellent problemsolving and critical thinking skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to lead crossfunctional teams.
Ability to manage technical aspects of the project.
Ability to provide technical leadership and direction to the design engineering team.
Ability to work in a fastpaced deadlinedriven environment.
Good organizational and time management skills.
