Seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to lead design and oversee diverse engineering projects. The role involves spearheading the development of new materials and processes enhancing existing systems and ensuring product sustainability and userfriendliness. This position calls for a blend of creative and analytical skills with a focus on developing highquality costefficient and innovative products from concept to production.
Qualifications:
- 5 years in related experience.
- Comprehensive experience in the entire product development lifecycle.
- Strong experience in designing with materials such as sheet metal plastics and experience in stamping (including draw form stamping) casting or forging.
- Proficiency in CAD modeling and hand sketching ideas in 3D space.
- Familiarity with Finite Element Analysis (FEA) is desirable.
- Preferred Skills: Ability to visualize and plan technical assignments develop countermeasure plans for technical challenges and project management experience.
Essential Duties:
- Design and develop complex mechanical systems ensuring innovation functionality and compliance with all safety standards.
- Analyze and improve ways to extract process and use raw materials focusing on environmental impact and efficiency.
- Test products and systems maintaining the highest quality standards.
- Repair and maintain precision instruments and processes requiring high skill levels and attention to detail.
- Create 3D models using Siemens NX and detailed 2D drawings for vehicle subassemblies and installations.
- Prepare engineering release documentation including part number effectivity and usage.
- Collaborate as an active member of crossfunctional teams to ensure highquality product development within time and budget constraints.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
