(Senior) Legal Counsel (all genders)

fulltime based in Vienna on site

As a Legal Counsel your mission will encompass providing strategic legal counsel across various facets of renewable energy projects including onshore PV and wind development M&A transactions and contract negotiations. You will play a pivotal role in drafting reviewing and negotiating commercial contracts delivering corporate legal services advising on real estate matters and acting as the primary legal contact for operational business inquiries.

• Provide legal advice and support to internal stakeholders on matters related to renewable energy project development financing and operations

• Draft review and negotiate a wide range of contracts including power purchase agreements construction contracts land leases and interconnection agreements

• Assist in due diligence processes for project acquisitions financings and other transactions

• Manage regulatory compliance efforts and stay abreast of changes in relevant laws and regulations.

• Support the resolution of disputes and litigation as needed

• Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to develop and implement legal strategies that support business objectives

• Conduct legal research and analysis on emerging issues impacting the renewable energy industry

• You hold a law degree from an Austrian university (Mag. iur./LL.M.) ideally with a business law focus

• Admission to the bar in Austria or eligibility for admission

• Minimum of 35 years of experience practicing law with a focus on corporate contract law

• Strong understanding of renewable energy project development finance and regulatory frameworks

• Proven experience drafting and negotiating complex contracts in the energy sector

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders

• Fluency in English; proficiency in German is highly desirable

• Ability to work independently manage multiple priorities and thrive in a fastpaced environment
