The Role
We are seeking a highly experienced Kafka Architecture or Senior Developer with Supply Chain Domain & Realtime data stream experience with Kafka and Azure exposure. The role is responsible for driving the design implementation and adoption of realtime stream data platform that will be a key enabler for our cloudbased businessapplication architecture. They exhibit exemplary communication skills both oral and written also can tailor technical presentations to convey architectural vision based on the audience. Demonstrating a strategic mindset the candidate can effectively navigate business and technical challenges within the enterprise. Highly technical and analytical they boast a track record of thought leadership and excel in exploiting opportunities for innovation. The ideal candidate should be able to
- Lead the design and implementation of a realtime stream data platform for cloudbased business applications.
- Define strategy and roadmap for the NextGen Stream Data Platform based on Confluent Kafka.
- Establish best practices accelerate Kafka ecosystem adoption and assist in Azure DevOps strategy.
- Explore realtime analytics and machine learning on SDP data.
- Mentor team members for NextGen technology implementation.
- Strong knowledge in architecture principles and design patterns of distributed systems in public clouds (Azure)
- Established track record with Kafka technology with handson production experience and a deep understanding of the Kafka architecture and internals of how it works along with interplay of architectural components: brokers Zookeeper producers/consumers Kafka Connect Kafka Streams
- Working knowledge of Elastic Search how it integrates with Kafka and using it effectively as a Kafka operational tool
- Solid programming proficiency with Java and best practices in development in Javascript and Python
The Person
- Bachelors degree in a Technical discipline with 13 years of experience.
- Seasoned messaging expert with diverse background in middleware solutions.
- Strong fundamentals in distributed systems design microservices and the reactive model.
- Domain experience in Supply Chain preferred.
- Established track record with Kafka technology and handson production experience.
- Proficient in Kafka development configuration and troubleshooting.
- Expertise in Kafka clustering faulttolerance models and scaling strategies.
- Strong programming skills in Java; proficiency in Python and/or Javascript.
- Knowledge of network protocols security operating systems and cloud platforms (Azure).
- Experience with container technologies (Docker Kubernetes) and Agile methodologies.
- Excellent communication leadership and strategic thinking skills.
Note: Preferred candidates will be in Plano or willing to relocate to Texas Dallas
