Senior Irrigation Technician

• Reports to the Director of Irrigation
  
• Job Purpose: To ensure client s properties are efficiently and effectively irrigated to provide necessary water to promote plant vigor.
  
• Key Job Tasks of the Director of Irrigation Workload Management Schedule and oversee the completion of activation BF testing and Winterization.
  
• Perform repairs to meet client expectations of timeliness and quality.
  
• Design sell and install new systems to meet client s needs.
  
• Set production and performance goals for division and ensure these goals are met.
  
• Manage the adherence to prescribed procedures to ensure first pass quality meets or exceeds planned goals.
  
• Monitor the production process and adjust schedules as needed.
  
• Monitor product standards and implement quality control programs.
  
• Manage the material and human resources needed.
  
• Maintain and manage required equipment resources according to policy.
  
• Monitor the weather and make adjustments to staff and workload scheduling accordingly.
  
• Coordinate with other divisions to manage shared workload.
  
• Client and Coworker Interaction Aid communication among clients crews and other divisions.
  
• Provide necessary training to team
  
• Promptly satisfy client s concerns questions or problems.
  
• Responsible for staff scheduling to include: work assignments employee training employee breaks overtime assignment and backup for absent employees.
  
• Responsible for supervising and motivating a team of workers.
  
• Track competencies of subordinates and provide leadership and development as required to achieve the objectives.
  
• Support the Account Manager(s) in estimating design and client meetings as needed
  
• Reporting to Management Utilize Service Autopilot to record work scheduled and completed.
  
• Work with the President to implement the company s policies and objectives.
  
• Review the performance of subordinates.
  
• Report resource utilization to the President.
  
• Other duties as assigned. Assist other divisions as necessary.
  
• Meet with clients to develop new business.
  

Requirements

• Knowledge of irrigation equipment processes and procedures.
  
• Be certified by MDNR as a Backflow Prevention Device Tester.
  
• Posses St. Louis County Master Lawn Irrigation System Installer license.
  
• Ability to diagnose and perform required repairs on 2wire and multistrand systems.
  
• Basic horticulture knowledge to provide appropriate water to meet plant needs.
  
• Three years experience supervising subordinates in a relevant industry.
  
• Ability to communicate effectively in English.
  
• Missouri Class E Driver s License or an equivalent For Hire driver s license or better such as Class A B or C CDL with a clean driving record.
  
• Ability to organize plan and manage a workload for a team of workers.
  
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule to meet seasonal demand fluctuations.
  
• Strong interpersonal skills team player and independent worker.
  
• Demonstrate strong customer service skills with 100% customer satisfaction.
  
• Ability to analyze complex problems and quickly create effective resolutions.
  
• Working Conditions Working conditions are normal for an outside service environment including heat and cold extremes as well as wet conditions.
  
• Work involves frequent lifting of materials and equipment over 50 pounds.
  
• Ability to dig and work in a kneeling position for extended periods.
  

Benefits

• Pay for this position includes a base salary of $50000.
  
• An annual bonus of 2% of division revenue when performance expectations are met.

• After 6 months Paid Time Off (PTO) is earned at rate of 0.03861 hrs PTO per hour worked (80/ hours per year).
