The Opportunity:
To assist and coordinate the remote data processing activities of Rovcos hydrographic survey and inspection projects. Ensuring quality control and assurance of data complies with the project scope of work. Processing & supervision of survey data acquired from Vessel/USV/AUV/ROV platforms and to produce survey data products for GIS/SSDM charts and reports.
Main Responsibilities
- QC & QA of acquired survey data.
- QC & QA of survey delivery products.
- Maintain knowledge and develop experience in survey applications and survey techniques.
- Maintain comprehensive handover notes.
- Maintain a detailed and accurate processing log and checklist.
- Processing & supervision of hydrographic survey and inspection data.
- Creating survey data deliveries.
- Producing GIS / SSDM projects and GIS / CAD charts.
- Documenting procedures and workflows for Hydrographic Survey and Inspection projects.
- Project preparation planning and tendering support.
- Provide support to the offshore team.
- Coordinate remote data processing flow.
- Support USV remote data processing operations.
- Setup and administration of data processing hardware and software.
- Working with the development team on developing and utilising AI and machine learning for survey projects
You should apply if you have:
Essential:
- Survey / Hydrographic / Ocean Science / Data related Degree
- Experience in Offshore Survey Projects in a Data Processor role
- Experience in Data Management
- Experience with setup and administration of data processing hardware and software.
Desirable:
- Knowledge with TVU planning and reporting.
- Experience with SSS and seismic navigation processing.
- Experience with creating charts (GIS & CAD).
- Experience with remote operations.
- Experience with automation from acquisition to delivery.
- Experience with a scripting language.
