Job Title: Senior HR Generalist (Benefits Focus)

As they continue to expand their operations they are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior HR Generalist with a strong background in managing company benefits in the mining or engineering industry to join their team.

Position Overview: The Senior HR Generalist (Benefits Specialist) will play a pivotal role in managing and optimizing our companys benefits programs ensuring alignment with their strategic objectives and the needs of their employees. This role requires a seasoned HR professional with a deep understanding of benefits administration in the mining or engineering industry coupled with a passion for enhancing the employee experience and driving organizational success.

Responsibilities:

  1. Benefits Administration: Oversee the administration of all employee benefits programs including health insurance retirement plans wellness initiatives and other fringe benefits.
  2. Compliance and Regulatory Management: Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations governing employee benefits such as ERISA ACA HIPAA and other regulatory requirements.
  3. Vendor Management: Manage relationships with benefit providers brokers and vendors negotiating contracts resolving issues and ensuring the delivery of highquality services.
  4. Benefits Communication and Education: Develop and implement effective communication strategies to educate employees about available benefits enrollment processes and changes in benefits offerings.
  5. Open Enrollment Process: Lead the annual open enrollment process including plan design review communication campaigns enrollment system administration and employee support.
  6. Benefits Analysis and Benchmarking: Conduct regular analysis of benefits programs benchmarking against industry standards and best practices to ensure competitiveness and costeffectiveness.
  7. Employee Advocacy: Serve as a trusted resource and advocate for employees regarding benefitsrelated inquiries concerns and disputes providing guidance and support as needed.
  8. Data Management and Reporting: Maintain accurate records and data related to benefits enrollment eligibility and utilization generating reports and analytics to inform decisionmaking and compliance requirements.
  9. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and enhancements to benefits programs policies and procedures driving efficiencies and enhancing the employee experience.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelors degree in Human Resources Business Administration or a related field; Masters degree or HR certification preferred.
  2. Minimum of seven years of progressive experience in HR with a focus on benefits administration preferably in the mining or engineering industry.
  3. Strong understanding of employee benefits regulations compliance requirements and industry trends.
  4. Experience with benefits plan design analysis and benchmarking.
  5. Proficiency in benefits administration systems and HRIS platforms.
  6. Excellent communication interpersonal and negotiation skills.
  7. Strong analytical and problemsolving abilities.
  8. Ability to work effectively in a fastpaced dynamic environment with a focus on innovation and continuous improvement.
