We are now seeking a Senior House Officer(SHO) Medicine3 for a private hospital located in Dublin Ireland.
Responsibilities
  • Engage in the delivery of medical treatment to patients as a member of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Admitting and evaluating medical inpatients upon request recording their history and physical examination in the patients medical file.
  • Admitting day cases upon request and recording the results of the physical examination and history in the patients medical file.
  • In response to requests from the attending consultant and/or nursing staff evaluate review and record results for patients.
  • To offer clinical cover for treatments performed in departments such as radiology and cardiology stress tests.
  • To evaluate patients in the cath lab and medical assessment unit and if necessary to administer sedative assessments.
  • To react in cases of emergency and needed to prescribe drugs to patients i.e. as instructed by the consultant
  • Must keep up a productive working relationship with the NCHD colleagues nursing staff medical staff training coordinator and other healthcare personnel.
  • Must address any adverse events such as accidents illnesses that strike suddenly or staff that affect patients guests or employees.
  • To perform administrative tasks related to the issuance of certificates of illness etc.
  • Attend the induction of NCHD.


Requirements


  • MB or its equivalent is a basic medical degree.
  • Present Registration with the Medical Council.
  • Two years minimum of prior relevant experience gained while employed in Ireland.
  • Showcase the value of clinical efficacy and evidencebased practice.
  • The capacity to interact with patients senior medical personnel and other health professionals efficiently.
