Senior Grower Accountant

Job Description:

We are looking for a talented and detailoriented Senior Grower Accountant to oversee our companys financial operations related to crop production and agriculture. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles experience in agricultural accounting and a passion for driving efficiency and profitability in a growing environment.

Responsibilities:

• Manage all aspects of financial accounting for crop production including budgeting forecasting and cost analysis.
• Develop and maintain systems for tracking and reporting on crop yields production costs and inventory levels.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards regulations and industry best practices.
• Collaborate with growers and production teams to optimize crop yields and minimize costs.
• Prepare and analyze financial reports including variance analysis and performance metrics.
• Assist with the development of pricing strategies and production plans.
• Provide guidance and support to junior accounting staff as needed.
• Stay informed about industry trends market conditions and regulatory changes affecting agricultural accounting.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance Agriculture or related field required; CPA or CMA certification preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting with a focus on agricultural accounting or crop production.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks SAP) and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong understanding of agricultural operations and production processes.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with crossfunctional teams.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fastpaced environment.
• Experience with cost accounting inventory management and financial reporting in a production environment preferred.
