We are looking for an experienced Finance expert or highpotentialfor the position as Senior Group Financial Controller to join our exciting journey in shaping the future of veterinary care together.

About the role

The AniCura Groupis growing rapidly through organic growth and acquisitions across Europe. As the new Sr Group Financial Controller you are part of the Group Financial Control/Group Accounting Team at AniCura consisting of ten international Finance experts. You will be reporting to the Head of Group Accounting.

The role can be based in any European country where AniCura is present in Poland preferably in Krakow or Warsaw.The role is permanent and fulltime.

Your key responsibilities will include

  • Consolidation followup and reporting for approx. 2 countries (thereof one being Poland).
  • Ensure good quality in the reporting in accordance with the reporting requirements.
  • Accounting for business acquisitions.
  • Together with the rest of the team develop processes routines and drive improvement and efficiency work within accounting reporting and internal control.
  • Managing periodical country calls (closing follow up balance sheet review etc) with the above countries.
  • Working with regular system updates and work instructions for Helios and HFM.
  • Working with mergers acquisitions and integrations of newly acquired entities including calculation of Purchase Price Allocation (PPA) in a predefined model.
  • Support other colleagues in the team with reconciliation templates for fixed assets and leasing.
  • Conducting access reviews for the Group in Oracle cloud and supporting the Head of Group Accounting with access approvals.
  • Review of Segregation of Duties connected to accesses in Oracle cloud.
  • Led documentation of tasks for capacity planning of the Group Accounting team.
  • Responsible for communicating changes and additions to Legal organizational structure in Oracle to HFM and mapping of the same in Helios.
  • Participate in external audit with specific responsible areas.
  • Work closely with our external local marketAccounting provider in Poland

You are expected to have

  • Academic degree within the area of Finance Business Administration or Economics or similar
  • The job holder should have an accounting or finance background with a minimum of 5 years of working experience in accounting
  • Experience in project management and good knowledge of general accounting and internal controls as well as US GAAP
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks as well as several projects simultaneously and still perform per deadline
  • Proactive and problemsolving approach
  • Good system knowledge (and ability to adapt to new systems) and high degree of literacy in MS Office especially MS Excel
  • Experience working in an ERP system
  • Experience and proven success in working very well in a team including working with crossborder teams.
  • Fluency in English
