As a Senior Geotechnical Engineer your primary mission is to provide essential geotechnical support to Project Managers throughout the project lifecycle. Your keen eye for detail coupled with extensive engineering knowledge will contribute to the success of our projects. Be a guiding force for Project Engineers and mentor Geotechnical Engineers while actively advancing the capabilities of our Engineering Department.

The Person

Recognised qualification(s) in Civil Engineering or Engineering Geology and
with 5 yrs experience

The Job

• Collaborate with the Head of Engineering on reporting deliverables.
• Oversee project technical aspects and conduct final QA of geotechnical data.
• Provide technical input for tenders and engage with clients on a technical level.
• Assist Project Managers from project initiation to reporting closeout.
• Demonstrate expertise in laboratory testing and uphold correct testing practices.
• Liaise with clients for lab testing schedule approval and monitor ongoing testing regimes.
• Generate and review pre and post fieldwork reports.
• Develop site characterizations and design soil parameters and profiles.
• Perform geotechnical engineering including bearing capacity calculations piled foundation design liquefaction assessment and pile driving analyses.
• Stay abreast of industry standards and contribute to the continuous development of our engineering capabilities.
• Actively participate in health and safety talks meetings or training sessions.
• Review reports and engineering work of Geotechnical Engineers.
• Mentor and guide Geotechnical Engineers and Project Engineers.
