The Role: Senior Frontend Developer

We seek a talented Web Frontend Developer to help build implement and maintain modular encapsulated UI components for our web applications and orchestrate the components to build full applications. As our Web Frontend Developer you will leverage the capabilities of the modern web and the latest standards to create frontend experiences that survive the test of time and can be deployed across our expanding product portfolio.

Web components provide an exciting opportunity for developers interested in crafting reusable user interfaces while advancing web standards. With stable browser support and growing adoption web components allow encapsulating complex UI elements into customisable HTML tags that work across frameworks.

At VLex we see web components as the future of UI development and are investing heavily in this space. Web components represent a flexible forwardlooking way for us to write UIfocused libraries build our component ecosystem and develop UIs using web standards instead of relying solely on traditional heavyweight frameworks when appropriate. Responsibilities:

• Develop clean lightweight selfcontained web components using frameworks like LitElement and FastElement.
• Follow established UI patterns interaction behaviours and accessibility standards for components.
• Integrate components with reactive frameworks like NextJS React through wrappers.
• Unit test components thoroughly using modern testing tools and techniques.
• Document components with examples API references and dependency diagrams.
• Writing and maintaining reliable code

Requirements:

The right candidate will possess the following attributes:

• 3 years of experience building and shipping web components at scale.
• Expertise with web component standards like Custom Elements Shadow DOM HTML Templates.
• Experience with Stencil LitElement or similar web component frameworks.
• Working with web standards Strong JavaScript HTML CSS skills and component driven design principles.
• Selfdirected individual with strong communication collaboration and technical design skills.
