Senior Financial Operations Manager

Capitol Bridge is currently seeking a candidate for a full-time Senior Financial Operations Manager role. This position is the lead role in planning, executing, monitoring, controlling, and closing projects for the accounting/finance department. This individual is accountable for the entire project scope and does all that is necessary to ensure the success of each project. They will perform this role utilizing critical thinking, accounting and financial analysis skills obtained through many years of experience. This position requires an individual to thrive and lead in a fast-paced environment where workflows change and move rapidly, forcing you to quickly adapt to new circumstances or juggle multiple daily tasks and deadlines.

Responsibilities:

.

Manage and complete projects for the accounting/finance department.

.

Plan, manage, and complete complex work assignments as assigned by the Controller and CFO.

.

Lead and participate in system implementations including analyzing and converting data.

.

Manage audits (financial, 401k, bank, etc.) and tax return preparation with supporting field work by completing PBC’s and follow-up requests.

.

Develop, implement, and document internal controls, policies, and procedures.

.

Identifying process inefficiencies, recommending efficient process or system alternatives, and facilitating the implementation of process or system changes.

.

Collect, compile, and analyze a variety of statistical and financial data and information.

.

Conduct in-depth financial analysis to generate reports that provide a comprehensive view of the company's financial performance.

.

Work independently, prioritize work, coordinate activities, and meet critical deadlines.

.

Fill-in and assist with other accounting responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications:

.

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.

.

Minimum 10-15 years’ experience in accounting and finance.

.

8+ years of experience managing projects to comply with all rules and regulations and improve accounting functions.

.

Strong accounting skills and advanced knowledge of GAAP and best practices.

.

Ability to identify and solve problems, formulate ideas to increase efficiency of accounting operations.

.

Demonstrated people skills necessary to coordinate the flow of information to and from staff who possess varying degrees of financial and program experience.

.

Experience with financial systems and tools, such as an ERP system and integrated accounting software solutions.

.

Ability to work independently in a dynamic environment with multiple and competing priorities with little oversight.

.

Execution focused and deadline driven with the ability to take responsibility for delivering quality work in a timely manner.

.

Strong Excel skills and proficiency

Physical Requirements:

Ability to set for long period of time working on data.

Able to carry and lift up to 15 lbs.

Sufficient vision to read and analyze documents, computer screens and perform other tasks that may require visual accuracy.
