What does the Senior Finance Business Partnerat Collinson do

We are looking for an interim Senior Finance Business Partner to come and join the team on a 6 months contract. We would also be open to individuals that are looking for permanent role that are immediate available or short notice period.The Finance Business Partner will be joining the Central Services area of Collinson to provide a full range of finance support to the Global Product & Innovation team partnering specifically with the Chief Product Officer.

You will provide comprehensive financial support for Product & Innovation working with decision makers and budget holders to ensure that the business area has robust financial information to support effective decision making.

Alongside the finance shared service centre you will provide a complete management accounting service.

Additionally you will operate with the business area to provide commercial decision support and insight being a sounding board to new initiatives helping to identify risks and opportunities and have the ability to explain financial concepts to non finance people.

Key Responsibilities of this role include:

• Be a key visible point of contact for the budget holders within the business area and overcome any siloed working through a partnering approach providing an integrated view on financial performance and financial input into decision making
• Responsible for providing key management reporting and information for the business area to support decision making and achieving business objectives
• Identify analyse and mitigate financial and commercial risk on existing and new business opportunities including new products and pricing
• Prepare and assess business case opportunities develops simulations and advises in relation to renewals renegotiations and new business opportunities
• Undertake the collection collation and challenge of financial and other planning information with supporting risks and opportunities to inform the financial planning process encompassing short and long term plans for the business area
• Provide ad hoc analysis and insight on business performance including using investment and project appraisal techniques to support effective decision making and the delivery of objectives
• Provide an oversight of the management & financial transactions on MS Dynamics and supporting systems for the partnered business area and implementing policies and procedures to account for a wideranging set of activities including reporting and planning
• Interfaces regional finance teams to ensure an efficient and effective finance service
• Be an active member of the Finance community contributing to the continuous improvement and added value of the finance function

Key skills and experience to be evidenced within your application included:

• Educated to degree level or equivalent
• Qualified Accountant (ACCA/ACA)
• Highly numerate

Essential Experience

• Highly preferable or similar experience providing high quality financial support to either Product & Innovation or Technology functional teams
• Experience in managing delivery of key management accounting services to time budget and quality.
• Experience in developing robust business case models for investment decisions and new products.
• Experience working in a complex matrix business environment with senior management with demonstrable skills in challenging and collaborating with this type of stakeholder.
• Demonstrable experience of driving value through effective analysis and management of financial information
• Ability to interact with and develop working relationships internally and externally to achieve best outcomes for the business and customer
• Experience at building relationships at senior management level
