We are hiring for a Senior Field Service Technician

We are looking for an experienced senior level CMM Field Service Technician to help with all aspects of CMM services for our customers with North America.

This is primarily a hybrid/travel position both at customer sites and at our office in Wixom MI.

The Senior Field Service Technician is Responsible for:

• CMM maintenance which includes diagnosis repairs calibrations and retrofits of various machines at customer sites to conform to factory specifications and accuracy standards.
• Provides technical support to other service representatives and customers.
• Mechanical duties include assembly disassembly leveling diagnosis and repair of mechanical issues on automated equipment.
• Electrical duties include diagnosis troubleshooting and repair of control systems

Education Experience and Skills

This position is open for an experienced technician performing calibration troubleshooting and mechanical / electronic repairs and CMM upgrades. Training will be provided for the specifics of Metrologic controllers and calibration software.

• Strong mechanical electrical and troubleshooting skills
• Mechanical and Electrical knowledge of various CMM manufactures including: Wenzel B&S DEA LK Mitutoyo Zeiss
• Knowledge of various Renishaw probing systems (PH10 SP80 SP25 PH20 REVO) is a plus
• I controllers UCC Assist and UCC Server knowledge is a plus.
• Knowledge of ISO10360 / B89 calibration guidelines and requirements
• Proper handing and usage of gage blocks ball bars and Renishaw SL80 laser systems.
• Capable of professional customer interaction
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Travel 80%
• Knowledge of ISO 17025 accreditation process would be a great advantage!
