Job Overview:We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Customer Service and Operations Executive to oversee our operations in Haiti and the Dominican Republic. The ideal candidate will be a Sri Lankan national willing to relocate and possess extensive experience in the freight forwarding industry. This role requires exceptional relationshipbuilding skills strategic thinking and a proactive approach to managing shipments and operations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration Logistics or a related field. Masters degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in customer service and operations roles within the freight forwarding industry.
  • Proven track record of building and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders including agents logistics teams and government officials.
  • Excellent understanding of customs regulations and procedures in Haiti and the Dominican Republic.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire teams to achieve goals.
  • Exceptional analytical and problemsolving abilities with a keen eye for detail.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal in English. Fluency in Spanish and French is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite and logistics management software.
  • Ability to thrive in a fastpaced dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and nurture strong relationships with agents and logistics teams in Haiti and the Dominican Republic.
  • Cultivate connections with customs officials and Ministry representatives to facilitate smooth operations and resolve any issues efficiently.
  • Manage the entire shipment process from booking to delivery ensuring timely and accurate handling of cargo.
  • Collaborate with existing agents and other parties to establish an effective fleet management system.
  • Streamline the invoicing process for shipments to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Facilitate the registration of the companys branch in Haiti ensuring compliance with local regulations.
  • Build and lead a dedicated team for customs clearance and operations fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.
  • Monitor payments receivable and payable in coordination with the finance team ensuring financial stability and adherence to budgets.
  • Ensure the accuracy of profit and loss statements for all jobs identifying areas for improvement and optimization.
  • Maintain and provide comprehensive records including shipment tracking profitability sheets monthly forecasts and progress reports to management.
  • Negotiate favourable rates for border crossing options to optimize costeffectiveness and enhance competitiveness.
