Senior DevOpsSRE Engineer New Zealand remote

Our team is looking for the DevOps/SRE Engineer to join New Zealand startup a team of dedicated professionals passionate about empowering educators and inspiring students. Tasks

• implementation configuration and support (Infrastructure as code);
• implementation and configuration of a warning system and taking measures in case of failures/incidents;
• implementation configuration and support of independent registration;
• setting up centralized configuration management
• identifying bottlenecks and optimizing performance
• Deployment automation (CI/CD)
• implementation of backups and verification of backups;
• managing permissions backup and performance
• active interaction with the development team;
• implementation of technical innovations and active search for changes in the overall infrastructure.

Requirements

• 5 years of practical experience in modern DevOps for highly scalable distributed cloudnative platforms (preferably on AWS) with a strong focus on infrastructure and application security.
• Fluency/familiarity with OWASP CIS and/or other security standards.
• Expertise in automation of service provisioning Infrastructure as Code Terraform Compliance as Code DevSecOps
• Cloud design patterns cloud operations security and cost models with handson ability to implement best practices or suggest improvements.
• Expertise in Infrastructure and Application Monitoring Security Information and Event Management.
• CI/CD for development and operational activities
• Hugely advantageous to have led or participated in the evolution of monolithic systems to microservices and/or migration of large scale RDBMs to nonrelational.
• Experience in service mesh/service bus/event bus.
• Handson expertise in various programming languages.
• Expertise/fluency in modern relational and nonrelational databases (KeyValue Document columnar or graph) and how these fit within various architectures and use cases.
• Excellent knowledge of English is a must
