Position Name:Senior DevOps Developer

Responsibilities:

The Senior DevOps Engineer will work closely with the client’s global development team to help with smooth delivery of new and existing applications in an agile environment. Key responsibilities include:

• Create, Improve, Test and Maintain CI/CD pipelines
• Enhance application monitoring capability
• Increase the containerisation and cloud-native deployment of the applications
• Build internal automation tools to improve existing processes
• Liaise with the Development and Infrastructure teams
• Participate in full delivery lifecycle (e.g. planning, testing phases)
• Adhere to development standards and procedures
• Document DevOps activities and procedures
• Deal with day-to-day production problems and maintenance when required

What we are looking:

• Strong experience in the ELK stack including Beats and XPack:
• Manage, configure and maintain a highly available and zero-data loss Elasticsearch cluster
• Design and configure data pipelines to onboard application logs and metrics
• Design dashboard to showcase relevant KPIs
• Configure index templates and ILM (index lifecycle management) for data retention
• develop alerting solutions using Watchers
• troubleshoot and performance tuning of elastic queries
• Exposure on the additional ELK stack like APM and ML is preferred
• Administration experience in container orchestration platforms (e.g. Kubernetes, Docker)
• Hands-on knowledge building Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery
• Pipelines (e.g. Jenkins, Bamboo) and using Configuration Management tools (e.g. Ansible)
• Familiarity with at least one cloud platform (e.g. AWS, Azure)
• Experience in observability (monitoring, logging, tracing) using Elasticsearch or equivalent (e.g. Prometheus, Grafana, etc)
• Working experience in at least one back-end language (e.g. Java, C#, Python) and relational database (e.g. MSSQL, Sybase)
• Version Control (GIT) and package management (Maven, Nuget)
• Experience working on Linux and Unix based infrastructure
• Knowledge of common application architecture patterns: distributed systems, microservices, async, event-driven systems, and others
• Optional experience with MongoDB (or other NoSQL database)
• Optional experience working within Agile projects and Scrum in particular
• Optional knowledge of Atlassian stack (Jira, Confluence, BitBucket, Bamboo)

Qualification:

• Minimum of 5 years experience as Developer, last 3 years as DevOps Engineer
• Bachelor / Master degree in Technology/Engineering from reputed university in India or abroad
• Excellent communication skills in English
• Preference for candidates from Investment Banks who are familiar with Front, Middle and Back office applications development and knowledge of Equities and Fixed-Income
