How and why you might ask Well a third of our employees are working on developing products and solutions that can help you use fossilfree energy more smartly or even better: less energy. Our main goal is to empower people to reduce the amount of energy being used all around the globe. Good for our customers their wallets and the planet.

Our growth rate has been quite stunning and still were just getting started. With hundreds of thousands of smart devices connected to the Tibber platform (like electric vehicles and smart thermostats) we have one of the most unique portfolios for trading energy and offering flexible services to the grid.

The Data area within Tibber is the main contributor to steering business value through data at Tibber. We as Data Analysts are experts in generating and communicating insights based on data shaping the companys strategic direction. Its our job to perform specialised analyses and collaborate closely with our stakeholders educating them in analytical methods and mindset.

Sitting in a purely central team isnt what we do: we work in a hybrid manner. The majority of the time we as Data Analysts are embedded in different areas of Tibber so we stay close to the products and business needs. A smaller part of the time we work centrally with our fellow Data Analyst colleagues on longterm direction and foundational projects.

We have recently kicked off an Analytics selfservice journey and are rolling out Thoughtspot to enable that. It is our vision that everybody at Tibber will be able to perform day to day analyses themselves supported and educated by us. Whats the benefit in that you might ask By doing so we are empowering all Tibberinos to access understand and use data to guide and support them in their business decisions. A big advantage is that this leaves more time for us Data Analysts to be proactive and drive larger analytical projects.

Job Mission

You will report to the Data Analytics Manager who recognises the importance of their peoples wellbeing. Within this team you will work side by side with 4 other Data Analysts all kind humble and data loving colleagues. Authenticity is considered a superpower your voice will be heard and your development needs will be taken seriously. Creating a culture where everybody can be their full self at work is very important to us. The larger data area consists of Data Scientists Data Engineers and Analytics Engineers. All of whom you will be working with in varying degrees of collaboration.

For this specific role you will be embedded in our Marketing/Growth department. Our CMO Head of Performance Marketing and occasionally our Chief Customer Officer will be your main stakeholders. This is a key area for us as a company and we are looking for an experienced candidate whos ready to take on the role as their analytical partner. Some of your responsibilities (but not limited to) will include:

Being an ambassador. You will represent a selfservice analytics way of working and methodology. You should be a driver advisor and support when it comes to guiding the Marketing/Growth department to become more datainformed.

Stakeholder management. You will be closely liaising with our CMO and Head of Performance Marketing to identify and execute highimpact potential drivers and projects. Occasionally you will be doing the same with our Chief Customer Officer.

KPI knowhow. You will help define implement and track the Marketing and growth areas KPIs.

Knowledge exchange. Educating the Marketing/Growth department on how to perform basic analyses and how to derive insights from them.

Ideal Profile

Ideally we would like to see the following

Relevant work experience. You have 3 years prior experience as a Data Analyst and the powerful ability to create insights and change them into new business suggestions.

Well versed in data visualisation and storytelling. You have at least 23 years experience. Build dashboards and reports focused on storytelling making the complicated appear easy for our stakeholders.

Created impact. Experience in doing analyses that drove big decision outcomes.

Marketing/Growth work experience. 12 years experience delivering insights on growth and marketing projects.

Technical knowhow. Proficient in SQL and have a basic knowledge of Python and statistics. Prior experience working with tools similar to Thoughtspot Looker or Tableau.

Collaborative. A role model and seamless communicator who successfully manages to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders.

Teaching ability. Excited about and has experience in educating others throughout Tibber on how to perform analytics work.

Proactive and businessminded mindset. Cares about making an impact taking ownership and leaning forward on projects.

A team player. Yes every ad says this but we truly believe our team is more important than an individual and would expect you to actively contribute to this. There is no room for big egos.

Some additional bonus skills (but in no way essential):

  • Scale up/startup experience
  • Familiarity with other parts of our tech stack (Databricks dbt)
  • Having worked with causal impact analyses
  • Having implemented attribution models
  • Experience with tracking solutions GTM Appsflyer Rudderstack)
  • Experience getting insights out of Customer Support data (Intercom)
