About the Opportunity:
Fedtec is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Computer Systems Engineer/Architect to lead engineering projects and provide technical expertise in network design engineering implementation and operations/user support. The successful candidate will manage a team of project engineers analysts and technicians ensuring the completion of assigned projects within budgetary
and scheduling guidelines. This role requires strong leadership abilities technical proficiency and a deep understanding of computer systems architecture.

Client: Internal Revenue Service
Primary Responsibilities
  • Manage the work of project engineers analysts and technicians providing guidance and leadership throughout the duration of assigned projects.
  • Ensure the completion of engineering projects within budgetary and scheduling constraints monitoring progress and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
  • Lead a group of engineers associated with one or more technical areas including network design engineering implementation or operations/user support.
  • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to define project requirements develop technical solutions and implement system improvements.
  • Provide expertise in largescale database management systems ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
  • Evaluate computer equipment and integration solutions recommending hardware and software configurations that meet project objectives.
  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies industry trends and best practices in computer systems engineering and architecture.
  • Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance and training as needed.
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree in computer science engineering or a related field. Masters degree is optional but preferred.
  • 10 years of experience managing or performing engineering activities with a focus on computer systems architecture and integration.
  • Proven leadership abilities with experience managing teams and leading complex engineering projects from inception to completion.
  • Expertise in largescale database management systems with the ability to design implement and optimize database solutions.
  • Strong understanding of computer systems architecture including hardware software and network components.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with crossfunctional teams and stakeholders.
  • Strategic thinking and problemsolving abilities with a focus on delivering innovative solutions to technical challenges.
  • Proficiency in relevant tools and technologies related to computer systems engineering and architecture.
