Senior Commercial Specialist WTG

Thisis a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and motivated Senior Commercial Specialist/ Manager to join our Corios rapidly growing offshore wind business in the UKand support the transition to a low carbon sustainable global economy on afixed term basis to cover a period of maternity leave.

Coriosglobal offshore wind business is responsible for the successful management anddelivery of a pipeline of 30 GW of offshore wind projects the origination ofnew opportunities and partnerships as well as the provision of asset managementand advisory services to third party investors.

Inthis role you will report to Corios Head of Project Procurement with a dottedline to the Outer Dowsing Offshore Windfarm Head of Procurement. You will beworking in very close collaboration with both the Outer Dowsing (London) andWest of Orkney (Edinburgh) project teams to ensure that you deliver best valuefor the projects.

You will be expected to leadthe delivery of the procurement and contracting strategy for the WTG packageacross the two projects taking responsibility for all procurement and contractrelated matters including inter alia:

Develop and deliver contractingstrategies and efficient processes for tendering and reviewing WTG OEM proposalsand negotiate contracts that result in the best value possible for the project.

Challenge scopespecifications to determine where unnecessary costs can be eliminated and morevalue can be achieved

Closely collaborate with therelevant project stakeholders to develop and review technical scope/commercialpackages to support competitive tender processes

Set out contracts that arefully compliant to support the business needs of the project and mitigatecommercial risks to the project and drive appropriate supplier performancethrough effective key performance indicators. Determine when ultimate contractterms have been achieved and take responsibility for the same.

Lead the tender evaluationprocess for the WTG contracts establishing clear assessment criteria andtransparent business case modelling standards.

Ensure that all definedbusiness processes and other applicable regulations are implemented in theproject

You will use your strongrelationship building skills to engage with and influence a variety of key projectstakeholders as well as senior business managers outside the project. Therewill also be ad hoc decision support activities including driving strategicinitiatives and supporting the whole Offshore Wind business in its procurementand contract management activities.

Your procurement skills andqualifications will include either CIPS or equivalent qualification and/or aminimum of 8 years experience in offshore wind related developments or relatedbusinesses ideally with demonstrable experience in tendering and negotiatingWTG supply agreements. Outstanding communication skills and commercial acumen strongrelationship management skills a welldeveloped attention to detail withcapacity to appreciate the big picture as well as prior experience of workingin a fastpaced and dynamic environment will hold you in good stead to besuccessful in this role.
