The Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and driven Senior Cloud Data Engineer with a proven track record in designing building and maintaining complex data infrastructure in the cloud. As a Senior Cloud Data Engineer you will lead the development of scalable data pipelines collaborate with crossfunctional teams and provide technical expertise in data engineering. Responsibilities

1. Data Architecture: Architect and design robust scalable and highperformance data solutions in the cloud ensuring data availability reliability and security.
   
2. Data Pipeline Development: Lead the development and maintenance of endtoend data pipelines including data collection processing transformation and loading.
   
3. Python/PySpark Mastery: Utilize your deep expertise in Python and/or PySpark to develop complex data transformations optimizations and ETL processes.
   
4. Data Modeling: Create and maintain advanced data models that align with business requirements optimizing for performance and scalability.
   
5. Data Governance: Implement and enforce data governance best practices ensuring data quality lineage and compliance with regulations.
   
6. Performance Optimization: Identify and implement advanced performance optimizations in data pipelines and queries to ensure efficient data processing.
   
7. CrossFunctional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with data scientists analysts and other stakeholders to understand complex data requirements and deliver tailored data solutions.
   
8. Documentation and Mentoring: Lead by example in maintaining comprehensive documentation of data pipelines and best practices. Mentor junior team members and promote knowledge sharing.
   
9. Security and Compliance: Oversee the implementation of robust security measures and ensure data compliance with industry standards and company policies.
   

Preferred Skills

• DBT (Data Build Tool): Extensive experience with DBT for managing data transformations.
  
• Containerization and Orchestration: Proficiency in containerization and orchestration tools (e.g. Docker Kubernetes) for efficient deployment.
  
• Data Streaming: Knowledge of data streaming technologies (e.g. Kafka Apache Spark Streaming) for realtime data processing.
  
• Workflow Management: Familiarity with data orchestration and workflow management tools (e.g. Apache Airflow) for scheduling and automation.
  
• Cloud Certification: Relevant cloud certifications (e.g. AWS Certified Data Analytics Azure Data Engineer) showcasing your cloud expertise.
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor s degree in computer science Information Technology or a related field (master s degree preferred).
  
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
  
• Proven track record as a Senior Data Engineer specializing in cloudbased solutions.
  
• Expertise in Python and/or PySpark for advanced data processing and ETL tasks.
  
• Extensive experience with cloud platforms such as AWS Azure or Google Cloud.
  
• Indepth understanding of data warehousing concepts and technologies (e.g. Redshift BigQuery).
  
• Strong knowledge of data modeling and database design principles.
  
• Exceptional problemsolving skills and attention to detail.
  
• Excellent communication and leadership skills to guide and inspire crossfunctional teams.
